@kylebarron, I'm going to defer to you and @wildintellect on the nuances here. The glossary looks great to me and it's a very solid attempt at collecting our community's technical terms into one place and making them more accessible. If you can pass @wildintellect's edits, I'll be happy to merge.

Did we use all these terms in the existing docs already?

We've probably used most of them, and I think it's fine for the glossary to be a superset of terms used in the documentation. I.e. if cloud-optimized points to cloud points to aws and gcp, then it makes sense to have all of those defined in the glossary beyond just cloud-optimized. But having them separated out means it's possible to add permalinks to the relevant sections directly in the future
