Navigating history when the history contains a page that does not load properly

[GoogleCodeExporter]

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to http://www.google.com
2. Navigate to a bad http page such as http://blahhhhhhhh
3. Press back/forward a couple times and notice the history gets messed up

I have attached a diff below that should fix this problem.
