assert due to intense maser (trac #431)

this sim throws an assert at

 Failed: escgrd_v > 0.
 It happened in the file ../rt_escprob.cpp at line number 330
 This is iteration 1, nzone 420, fzone 420.00, lgSearch=F.

It is due to the combination of the turbulence and large Smyth+ Fe II data set. I added an optional debug statement at r13199 to help identify the line. The optical depth was ~ -4
