Shortcuts are missing after installing #117

Hello,

I've noticed a possible issue with the MSI Deployment tool that squirrel can generate. It does appear to install the application correctly on user switch. But shortcuts are not generated correctly.

The hooks in our application will generate a shortcut OnAppInstall to the StartMenu.

Can you elaborate, what is not correct?
Does it work if you install using Setup.exe instead of the deployment tool?
What version of Squirrel are you using?
What's in the Squirrel log file? If you are creating the shortcuts in your own app, is the hook executing? Have you checked the Squirrel logs in your own application after you create the shortcuts?

I'm going to close this for now. I was making an initial report based on an application rollout. But as I investigated to find the answers to your questions I found it was likely a dev ops error and not related to the deployment tool. I will reopen with more information if the issue returns.
