Changing mvn install into mvn clean package solved the installation problems, but I don't understand maven so I have no clue whether it makes sense at all?

fixed in https://github.com/cltl/EventCoreference/commit/63c323d1b26d8c772e79dfbbb600562d36c20f83 (I think)
