It would be good if I can get rid of the current image galleries and use Adobe Lightroom's html galleries. This will also solve issue #1.

This seems to work:

Replace the page .md script with the index.html generated by Lightroom (renaming to something more useful e.g. iceland-gallery.html).
Add the contents and resources folders generated by Lightroom to the static folder.
Add a forward slash in front of the paths to the contents and resources folders within the html file.
