Priority - further increase test coverage

As a system developer I want to see very high test coverage so that I know the system is working as expected

As a trainer I want the system to have high test coverage so that it can be used as a training example to illustrate different type of tests and with high test coverage

only increase coverage in these modules, others will be covered by other issues as part of refactor, moves or deletions
