Again Murmur normal three wipes of Resonance. It's a lottery. Sometimes he gets bugged completely and it makes him undoable till entire instance resete. Tank and one DPS all time in melee range but he keeps using resonance from start of fight... Horribly annoying... After first sonic BOOM wipe cause of three stacks of Resonance. Maybe something wrong with distance check? Dunno.
Maybe some reset parameter not set? Strictly speaking about heroic?
No, we played it at Normal. There are two weird things 1) During moving through last room at about half of it mobs stopped fighting with Murmur (checked multiple times). Like something is resetting their aggro 2) During fight with team of tank + melee + 2 ranged dps + one healer Murmur keeps using Resonance from start of fight. So after first Sonic boom there is guaranteed wipe cause of 3-4 stacks of Resonance. On earlier versions we managed to kill him several times but luckily we somehow didnt trigger that bug and it works right. But last 3 times in row we wiped. We are playing fully legitly without bots and any cheats. Team of Paladin Tank + Feral Druid DPS + Mage DPS + shadow priest DPS+Druid Healer Next time Ill try to make some short screen record to show the problem
Can confirm the issue still exists on Cmangos-wotlk. Normal group without mind control abilities, the distance factor is ignored and the resonance debuff is applied to the whole group despite the tank and one other DPS being in melee distance from Murmur.
Bug Details
I think the Murmur Resonance problem still exists but the trigger is Mind Control. If you Mind-Control any of mobs in the room with Murmur suddenly you get Murmur aggro from distance
If that happens Murmur starts to use his distance attack at your team not only mobs (If i recall correctly the attack name is Murmur's touch) If you wipe that way next time you come to the room you realize that mobs are no longer fighting Murmur. Murmur doesn't shoot them and mobs don't shoot at Murmur.
It looks some type of aggro between mobs and Murmur goes to zero
If that happened you cannot beat Murmur because EVEN if you take out all mobs and do everything all right. IT means that all players shoud stay in inner Circle and tank will stay in melee dps only getting out for short while at Sonic Boom time, the Murmur will cast RESONANCE about 7-15 seconds after starting fight and i didnt find any way to stop him from casting it. Melee distance seems to doesn't matter even we know it shoud. It means that in 20 seconds Wipe is almost imminent.
I think that all it starts when you mind-control summoner or other mind-controllable mob in that room. I found that problem at normal difficulty - didnt check heroic mode.

Expected behavior
1) Resonance should be used cast by Murmur only if there is no player in melee range with one exception (Sonic Boom time) 2) IMHO Mind Control mobs in Murmur room shouldnt cause attack on group by BOSS.
It's not first problem with Murmur resonance ability it was earlier mentioned in Issue #3556
