number pad has delay, doesnt work with automated systems #1050

When I call an automated system and try to enter numbers using the keypad there 
is a half-second delay between when I press the number and the sound is made, 
and the numbers do not register correctly with the automated system. EVO 4g 
running Android 2.3 and calls made over WiFi through pbxes and Google voice.
