I'm having this same issue. I've tried it several times, turned my phone off &
back on, taken out the battery. I have a great wifi connection so I don't know
what the problem is.

I'm also having the same issue. I've also tried to create a new GTALK trunk on
pbxes.org and it won't let me do that either. Who's issue, sipdroid or
pbxes.org?

Same here, reset android phone, clean install GV and siproid, Geting error
"cannot connect to server" when setting up a new account...

I think it has something to do with the pbxes site certificate, if you browse
pbxes.org site from android, you get a site certificate error, and you cant
connect to the site.

Still same problem. I'm guessing PBXes no longer supports free Google Voice
accounts.

I think rompec (Comment 6) has guessed the reason for the problem. If the
pbxes.org site is returning a certificate error then it is not going to work
until they fix the site certificate for andriod.

Installed the certificate manually, went to the site. Still no connection.
Guess its just down for now.

voice. $4 - have however dat stopped working too! Please Google app developers

Groove IP is working great for me. I gave up on SIPDroid as it seems that
pbxes has issues fairly often from what I have read.

This is pathetic, i understand that the service is free, however 4 days and
counting with NO SERVICE is not cool at all. We have not been notified of
ANYTHING even tho this is a WIDESPREAD ISSUE. I have recommended Sipdroid to
soooooo many people, and it sucks that I HAVE to remove this app and no longer
recommend it to anyone as I would rather pay 30 $ month for phone service than
to be without a phone for another holiday. Sipdroid, ty for trying, but its
obvious you guys are not serious about providing a quality service to match GV.

To those who continue to offer Groove IP as a solution:
There is an advertised feature of sipdroid that isn't working. That's why this
issue is open. We already know from earlier comments that Groove IP works. We
also know that it costs (a little) money. There is still an issue with
sipdroid and pbxes.
To everyone else:
I have an alternative (free) solution. I got an account with sipsorcery.com
and IPKall and linked all of that to sipdroid and GV. It's a little extra work
versus Groove IP, but it's free. I'm placing and receiving phone calls from a
Droid 2 that isn't even activated right now.

To the above comment. Nice!!
And as far as my last comment is concerned:
I was only stating my solution to the issue. Take it for what it is. I wanted voice over ip unfortunately There is a problem with this way And I got impatient so I paid now it works great so there. :P

Finally gave up on PBXes after my zillionith "cannot connect to webserver."
Purchased GrooveIP last night from Amazon App store. Had it up and running in
literally 2 minutes. Inbound and Outbound calls work like a charm w/my GV
numbers - both of them. Worth every penny of the five bucks not to hassle with
this anymore, and my Epic 4g is now a free and clear smartphone. [Pun intended.

Too little too late as far as I am concerned, a week later and i guess all our

my ONLY app for GV paired Voip.

Thank God! Finally!
... And to all you Groove IP cheerleaders: Chill out, why the d-bag attitude in
regards to a FREE product?! a FREE product which STILL provides (on average)
BETTER QUALITTY than Groove IP (and I use Groove IP).
