Damaged application message when opening app #4

After downloading and moving the Grass app for Apple Arm to the application folders, attempting to open the app either by double click or using the context menu open causes a damaged app message that prevents the app from opening. I'm using MacOs Sequoia on a Macbook Pro M1.

I have tried to allowing applications from anywhere on the Privacy and Security settings, but the message persists even after removing and reinstalling the application. I believe this is caused by Apple being more restrictive when allowing applications of an unverified developer, but I'm not sure.

I appreciate any advice in being able to run Grass on my Macbook.

When did you download it? I uploaded new versions about a week ago because i had the same problem.

Just yesterday, from https://cmbarton.github.io/grass-mac/download/

The release date for GRASS 8.4.0 Apple ARM is 5 Aug 2024.

This is distressing. Try it now. I uploaded a new file (or tried to) on 11 Sept. But the date in the file repository was still 5 Aug. I've now deleted the file in the repository and uploaded a new one. It shows the correct date of today.
