I noticed similar problem, especially by quick turns. Somehow after updating a base version of GZDoom, flickering at the edges stopped. Here you can find updated versions of this fork: https://github.com/hh79/gz3doom/releases. I've made it for myself, that I could play Eviternity in VR, so no guarantee if everything works.

When moving in the game, there is a garble of strange graphics on the left and right edges of the screen. I am using a valve index set to 80hz refresh rate at the time I experienced this.
