My parents live in South Africa where power outages/loadshedding is common and I have recently purchased a Sofar hyd 6000-Ep for them. In South Africa power is not that exspensive but batteries are.
I want the inverter not to run the default of PV-Battery-Grid always charging and discharging the battery but to run PV-Grid-battery so that the battery is always charged but only is used when the grid goes down. I believe the timing functions should allow this but I do not know if the timing function will stop the inverter using battery power if the grid goes down during this schedule?
Will your mod be able to be programmed to force the inverter to run the battery at full charge and in standby untill the grid goes off and once the grid comes back on then charges the battery with pv or grid?
The idea again is to save the batteries from exessively using charge cycles.
