EDDI Speech not compatible with DTS headphone X in Elite #151

If I have this enabled (with my turtle beech stealth 450 headset) the sound test and any other voice feedback from EDDI ceases to work.
I can toggle the 'surround on' and 'surround off' and between each I can use 'test voice' in EDDI, when on there is no sound, when off it functions normally.

I have EDDI working with "DTS Headphone" in Elite, although I use a Realtek HD Audio output on Hyper-X Headphones
