EDDI crashing VA after a set of DSS scans #225

After scanning (DSS) some planetary bodies, EDDI gets confused, only repeating 'I'm not sure which body you're asking about'. VA crashes when trying to close it afterwards. After a fresh start, everything is back to normal. Also, i sometimes have VA crash at first start. Starting the second time it works as intended. Seems to be random, and tied to the initialization of EDDI.

Getting "I'm not sure which body you are talking about" is a known issue. This should be fixed in 2.3.0-b8 (beta 8). Please see issues #204 and #214 for more info.

I was getting the same problem, and I don't use VA at all. My guess is that VA is crashing because it can't handle the initial problem when it occurs in versions of EDDI before beta 8. Try upgrading and see how it goes.

I already am on the latest beta. It seems to arise over time, sometimes even 50 DSS scans are o.k. before it gets corrupted.

Ahh, ok. This is the same thing I was getting, I just haven't been out exploring since beta 8, so I've not had the chance to try it. I guess this means the fix hasn't worked fully. :/
