I tried deleting the credentials file as suggested in a similar thread. There was no credentials file. I restarted the computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

it's better to follow the EDCD/EDDI page, the last release is 3.3.6: https://github.com/EDCD/EDDI/releases/tag/Release%2F3.3.6
