Please be careful when using gwinwrap until I pin down the problem (it may
be abstractile doesn't play nice with xwinwrap).

This is really a problem with xwinwrap, not my program (luckily). 
Unfortunately, I'll
probably have to add a checker to remove it from the list.

Can anyone else confirm that it doesn't work? (it's in the extra screensavers 
package)

It works here Nvidia GeForce 6600GT, no xgl...

It works fine here nvidia 6600gt in sli mode.
Guyz who ever is having the issue you have to remember one thing, all the 
screensavers which need 3D acceleration won't work well on low end hardware, or 
it will be choopy and slow not smooth, this will also make your system hang and 
freez, This issue has nothing to do with xwinwrap or gwinwrap.

even if you have high end hardware, your GPU driver should be able to do 3D 
Accel, if not dont expect it to work.
