Dev port cms6 #29

Due to naf failure I had to move semi finished stuff from naf to ekpcms6. Now those developments are finished and I would like to merge them into the master branch, I don't think anyone's work is influenced by those developments.

Hi Marcus,

although I do not understand the connection between a NAF failure and these changes, my understanding is that these changes won't have an impact on code which is not related to your MVA studies. Therefore I am fine with you merging it on your own or asking a colleague in Karlsruhe to do it.
