This fix also has to propagate to non-TIF DB branch. @jsturdy , do you know a good way to do this without resolving many conflicts?

Do we have a check on one of the faulty runs yet?

The TIF DB branch is supposed to be the local branch, i.e., all changes go into release-v3 which is the "standard" branch, create a new tag, checkout the tag on the TIF setup, and modify locally and keep that only local.
