There are several issues in the CMSSW GitHub for features that would need to be developed in the core SW / operations side:

• [x] https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/issues/24193: How to deal with arbitrary Paths in cff files in cmsDriver/ConfigBuilder?

Just to update that the upstream issues https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/issues/24188, https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/issues/24190, and https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/issues/24193 were superseded by the SwitchProducer in https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/pull/25439.
