Paths differing by case #39842

It looks like cms has grown some files that differ just by case

'Geometry/HGCalCommonData/data/dd4hep/cms-test-ddhgcalWafer8-algorithm.xml' 'Geometry/HGCalCommonData/data/dd4hep/cms-test-ddhgcalwafer8-algorithm.xml'

'L1Trigger/Phase2L1ParticleFlow/plugins/L1METPFProducer.cc' 'L1Trigger/Phase2L1ParticleFlow/plugins/L1MetPfProducer.cc'

'Validation/HGCalValidation/macros/MakePlots.C' 'Validation/HGCalValidation/macros/makePlots.C'

are these actually different? Can they be renamed as to support case insensitive file systems (and also to be more clearly identified..)
