Just to clarify, I still need to work locally on solving merge conflicts and undo the edits to config.json, this PR is not yet ready to merge

@cardinia, do you sign off for merging this PR? Then we'll use it as a basis for the Hackathon. I think we'll branch the master after this is merged.
