Please see changes and my latest comment on #2, I am pasting it here as well as next steps.

Updates:

Added util.ts, which uses the code emitter from vega-lite-api with modifications for typescript.
Separated parser.ts with code for generating the JSON representation of the AST.
Rewrote generatorVL.ts to start using the emitter to produce code.
generatedVLClasses.ts has the latest code.

Next steps:

Tests
Understanding vega-lite-api to generate code.
Integration with vega-lite-api and Python?
