"make install" doesn't properly register diamond-newscope #33

When prefix is $HOME, we install the shared-mime-info file into ~/share instead of ~/.local/share.
c13b71a disabled update-mime-database to fix distcheck. Add a hidden configure option to disable update-mime-database, then use it in DISTCHECK_CONFIGURE_FLAGS.

Also, instead of running desktop-file-install with various fallbacks and ignoring errors, we should install the desktop file directly from Automake and then run update-desktop-database.
