@erdogmush : i know you said to merge this at will, still would like to hold off until our meeting to review some of the changes that were mentioned in a few tickets.
for development and review, being able to quickly run test mode in this branch and in the main branch was useful in comparing changes during debugging
(also i don't think i have permissions to merge without at least one review)
regardless, all tests are now passing, and i was not able to spot any regressions on my end. curious if it still works with more assignments
