Work with @onlydole on this :)

amye commented 2 years ago

We should definitely do these, these are easy.

onlydole commented 2 years ago

Woo! Sounds great to me! :tada:

amye commented 2 years ago

@onlydole: Next steps: Work out(1) criteria for nomination (2) a timeline for nominations + voting, I will get you access to SurveyMonkey to create a nomination form.

onlydole commented 2 years ago

@amye - what do you think of this timeline and criteria? (all dates are subject to change based on likelihoods and schedules).

2022 KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU End User Awards Schedule

(1) 4/28 is basically announcing the winner, so wait until it's fully announced (2) Can we drop it down to 2 weeks nomination, one week voting? I'm worried that we'll run out of time to get this taken care of, PR team is mighty booked around KubeCon. :D

@amye - does this look better to you? I can work with the PR team in advance to prep these comms, too!

amye commented 2 years ago

Let's check with speakers team about what's possible for keynotes, I don't want to overpromise.

onlydole commented 2 years ago

The self-nomination invite has been sent out šŸš€

onlydole commented 2 years ago

All nominations are in and the form is closed, I'll reach out about a CIVS poll next for the next step.

onlydole commented 2 years ago

All votes have been counted and we have a winner. Iā€™m reaching out to them to see if they accept!

onlydole commented 2 years ago

A winner has been chosen and all logistics are in process šŸ˜„

I think this timeline is OK, faster the better imho

The biggest issue is reaching out to Drew to ensure he can ACQUIRE the award with the folks name on it etc in time for kubecon

Amye can help you with that if you haven't done it already. I'd probably end nominations a bit earlier imho to give us more time
