We should definitely do these, these are easy.
Woo! Sounds great to me! :tada:
@onlydole: Next steps: Work out(1) criteria for nomination (2) a timeline for nominations + voting, I will get you access to SurveyMonkey to create a nomination form.
@amye - what do you think of this timeline and criteria? (all dates are subject to change based on likelihoods and schedules).
2022 KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU End User Awards Schedule
4/6 to 4/15: Nominations
4/19 to 4/26: CIVS poll to choose the winner.
4/28: All nominees are notified of the results.
4/29: The CNCF PR team drafts an announcement blog post and sends it to the award recipient for approval.
5/9: A representative from the winning company will be contacted about being invited to the KC+CNC keynote stage to receive the award and speak for a few minutes about their usage and contributions to the community.
(1) 4/28 is basically announcing the winner, so wait until it's fully announced (2) Can we drop it down to 2 weeks nomination, one week voting? I'm worried that we'll run out of time to get this taken care of, PR team is mighty booked around KubeCon. :D

@amye - does this look better to you? I can work with the PR team in advance to prep these comms, too!
Let's check with speakers team about what's possible for keynotes, I don't want to overpromise.
The self-nomination invite has been sent out š
All nominations are in and the form is closed, I'll reach out about a CIVS poll next for the next step.
All votes have been counted and we have a winner. Iām reaching out to them to see if they accept!
A winner has been chosen and all logistics are in process š
I think this timeline is OK, faster the better imho
The biggest issue is reaching out to Drew to ensure he can ACQUIRE the award with the folks name on it etc in time for kubecon
Amye can help you with that if you haven't done it already. I'd probably end nominations a bit earlier imho to give us more time
