First and Last Name

David Ko

Email

dko@suse.com

Company/Organization

SUSE

Job Title

Senior Engineering Manager

Project Title (i.e., a summary of what do you want to do, not what is the name of the open source project you're working with)

Longhorn development & CI infra

Briefly describe the project (i.e., what is the detail of what you're planning to do with these servers?)

We would like to work on the future benchmark & performance testing, also planning to fine-tune our current CI infrastructure.

Is the code that you’re going to run 100% open source? If so, what is the URL or URLs where it is located? What is your association with that project?

YES. Longhorn is a CNCF project. Check longhorn.io and longhorn/longhorn for more information.

I am a maintainer of the Longhorn project.

What kind of machines and how many do you expect to use (see: https://metal.equinix.com/product/servers/)?

We already have a few members able to access Longhorn Development and Longhorn projects on the CNCF CL cloud, but would like to request to add another maintainer to help with the following tasks requiring to access these projects.

We use c3.medium.x86 instances as usual.

What operating system and networking are you planning to use?

OpenSUSE Leap 15.3 or Ubuntu 20.04

Any other relevant details we should know about?

Please add Joshua Moddy (joshua.moody@suse.com) to access the existing Longhorn projects. Thank you.

@innobead @caniszczyk @idvoretskyi just following up, in case this has already been completed, what would the access steps be?

Thank you Chris!

@vielmetti Can you or someone from Equinix Metal help with setting up the accounts for David Ko (dko@suse.com) and Joshua Moody (joshua.moody@suse.com)? They need access to Longhorn Development and Longhorn project. Let us know if you need any other information.

vielmetti commented 2 years ago

cc @jeefy @hh who should have access to do this from the customer portal

innobead commented 2 years ago

I already have that access, so this ticket to get @joshimoo the same permission.

joshimoo commented 2 years ago

@caniszczyk @vielmetti @innobead Just to follow up, I manually created an account on the equinox side, since I haven't heard back anything so far. Please add my account joshua.moody@suse.com to the Longhorn Development and Longhorn project. I am trying to work on some features required for the upcoming kubecon.

innobead commented 2 years ago

@jeefy could you help with this? thank you.

yasker commented 2 years ago

@jeefy @hh can you help with Joshua's account soon? We're trying to show a Longhorn demo in KubeCon EU 2022 (which will happen in a week), using Equinix Metal. We're blocked by this permission issue at the moment.

jeefy commented 2 years ago

Joshua's been added to this team (finally! Sorry :frowning: ) so marking this complete.
