Thanks! Invitation accepted.
Hi @Somefive ! We got a request in for dedicated (reserved) servers. You should be able to deploy these with our "on demand" systems equally well. See
https://deploy.equinix.com/developers/docs/metal/deploy/on-demand/
for instructions there. This gives you flexibility to deploy and redeploy as needed.

I saw "on demand" supports at most 5 servers so I choose the reserved servers. Thanks for the reply!
I reached out via Slack to discuss options.
@idvoretskyi Hi, we have successfully set up the machines required in this issue and the usage is convenient. Now extra trouble encountered by far. Thanks for all your supports!
Another question is if we would like to set up one or two more machines for other purpose, like running demos or hosting services for the community (like hosting Prow bot for the repo), shall I open another issue or continue on this issue?
And if we would like to add more KubeVela maintainers to the management of the CNCF provided machines on Equinix, could we just add more email address here?
@Somefive feel free to reopen this issue whenever needed, no need in a new one.

KubeVela Bot for Enhanced Project Maintenance and Automation
We are planning to set up a KubeVela Bot that will help in maintaining and automating various tasks related to the KubeVela project, such as processing pull requests, managing issues and dealing some API syncing. This will significantly improve the efficiency of the project management process by reducing the manual workload on the maintainers and contributors.
As KubeVela is a CNCF incubation project with an increasing number of contributors and heavy CI jobs, we require a dedicated VM to run the KubeVela Bot efficiently. This VM will be used exclusively for the KubeVela project to ensure smooth operation and quick response times for contributors.
Yes, the code we plan to run is 100% open source. The KubeVela Bot's code can be found at (for now it's just one but we will automate more tasks with bots):
https://github.com/kubevela-contrib/velad-bot
server type - m3.small.x86 server count - 1
Ubuntu 22.04
Any other relevant details we should know about? None
Thank you for considering our request. We believe that having a dedicated VM for the KubeVela Bot will greatly benefit the project and its growing community.

@chivalryq I'm a bit confused, but we've already solved this request. Any issues so far?
/cc @caniszczyk
@idvoretskyi Sorry for any confusion. I checked this issue and the last comment says if there's some request we can reopen this issue. I'm supposed to reopen it but after sending the request I found that I can't.
As for the new request, it's for a different purpose: running some KubeVela bot. If there's anything wrong please let me know. Thanks.
@chivalryq no worries, I've reopened it. What exactly would you require?

@chivalryq is trying to apply one more machine on Equinix and would like to add himself as a member of the KubeVela project on Equinix Console.
Thanks @Somefive for clarifying. That's what I mean.
Sounds reasonable for now - but you should really be looking to take some of the existing infrastructure and run your bot there if you can, it's really overkill to dedicate a bare metal machine (not just a VM) for running a single simple bot if I read things right.

Understood. We will try that. Thanks for the advice. By the way, could you help add the email chivalry.pp@gmail.com to the KubeVela project on the Equinix?
Hi , I would like to request for access to the equinix console being a member of kubevela maintainers group and would like to request the same for @dhiguero. For reference, please follow here: https://github.com/kubevela/community/blob/main/OWNERS.md
My email address is anoop2811@aol.in
Please let me know if you need any further information or if it needs to be a different github issue

Hi! my email is daniel.higuero on gmail.com
@dhiguero done!
Assuming this is done, closing this for now.
Please fill out the details below to file a request for access to the CNCF Community Infrastructure Lab. Please note that access is targeted to people working on specific open source projects; this is not designed just to get your feet wet. The most important answer is the URL of the project you'll be working with. If you're looking to learn Kubernetes and related technologies, please try out Katacoda.
