Briefly describe the project : LLVM is a complete tool chain from C/C++ frontend (clang), optimizer (opt), multiple targets backend (LLC), assembler (llvm-mc) , linker (lld) and debugger (lldb), alongside it offers other flows for profile guided optimization , link time optimization , IR interpreter (lli) and just in time compilation.

Which members of the CNCF community and/or end-users would benefit from your work?

LLVM is widely used across industries and academia.

Is the code that you’re going to run 100% open source? If so, what is the URL or URLs where it is located?

X86_64 based machines haswell and higher microarchitectures.

How will this testing advance cloud native computing (specifically containerization, orchestration, microservices or some combination).

Main usage is for build and running performance regression (lnt), these activities are compute intensive.

This project has no recent activity or current usage in the CNCF CIL since 2018 and is proposed to be reviewed for removal from the CIL.

The "LLVM Compiler" project was never used; it has now been removed.
