Project Title : Scalable DirectoryService

Briefly describe the project : Implement a scalable DirectoryService, a microservice which can fetch and query Asset details from Elasticsearch and Cassandra. Service should also be able to perform actions of delete, update index and update permissions for the Asset.

Which members of the CNCF community and/or end-users would benefit from your work? Not sure

Is the code that you’re going to run 100% open source? If so, what is the URL or URLs where it is located? No

What kind of machines and how many do you expect to use (see: https://www.packet.net/bare-metal/)? 5 machines

What OS and networking are you planning to use (see: https://help.packet.net/technical/infrastructure/supported-operating-systems)? Not sure

Please state your contributions to the open source community and any other relevant initiatives : Not as of now.

How will this testing advance cloud native computing (specifically containerization, orchestration, microservices or some combination). : Combination

Please start developing on your own machine (I recommend using Minikube or Docker for the K8s support) and then open an issue here when you have working code to demonstrate, and are looking to improve the scalability.

Thanks for your updates. Can you please share me the exact steps/process for building CNCF lab in my local machine?

The CNCF lab is just bare metal servers.

Here's info on running Minikube and Docker for Windows:
