Add subdomain site for Cloud Native Maturity Model #580

Closed Charley-Mann closed 1 year ago

Cloud Native Maturity Model – the Cartografos Group would like to create a webpage on the CNCF website to host the maturity model. They’re interested in using this also as a way of connecting content from various projects, so folks can easily find it. Requires input & advice from Chris Ab before we move forwards!

Sounds good. This is content also proposed in this issue.

@Charley-Mann What's the latest on this request? I believe the Cartografos team will be at KCCNC NA next week so could maybe get more information from them there?

From Slack via CM:

Picking up an old conversation about the Cartografos group getting their own landing page on the CNCF website. Do we point them to build their own & then we just link to it? Or is there a template they can use?

Response:

If they have the content, one of us can add the new page fairly easily. There are two main types of template page - 100% blocks (most pages on the site are like this), or sidebar tab container (like the FAQ) - I believe the CNMM is a 6 stage process, so the sidebar tab container page may be useful to them. There is also an option of adding a table of contents like on this page so users can skip to sections they want to see.

If they think the content is bigger than one page, we could also look at spinning them up their own website on a sub-domain - like we do with Contribute or Glossary. This would then let them update the content easier via Github instead of going through WordPress / a content editor.

Sounds good on a new subdomain.

@Charley-Mann can you connect us with the Cartografos team? I think once we see the content they want to publish that will help inform the solution we pursue.

We connected with Danielle Cook on Slack. She would like to publish this content in a subdomain site, similar to Glossary or Contribute. She would like to discuss in more detail on a call sometime next week.
