6 months ago Hi @Okabe-Junya, sorry for the delay in review. The CNCF has commissioned some translations of the COC (you can see some recent PRs I've opened on this repo), and we have a Japanese one as well.
I'd like to ask how best to share that commissioned translation -- I don't want to replace the work you've done and would like to work with you and this community to ensure we've got the best version moving forward. How best do you think I should share this so we all can discuss the differences (keeping in mind I have no Japanese language skill 😅).

This is a bit difficult problem. First, let me express my thanks once again for moving forward this PR. In Japanese, there are unique challenges with the language. (These often happen when translating English words into Japanese) To address, we have some rules at https://kubernetes.io/ja/docs/contribute/localization/, and some CNCF and Kubernetes projects follow these rules in their localization.
What I mean to say is, I want to ensure that the Japanese document of the CoC does not conflict with these localization rules (this PR is one of those cases). I think the easiest way would be for a CNCF consignor to create the PR, and then the Japanese reviewer team for cncf/glossary or kubernetes/website (or even someone) could review it. Would this be difficult?

The Japanese COC did not have a consistent style in its text. For example, there was a mix of full-width and half-width characters, and the filename was different from the notation used in other projects.
Therefore, we decided that we need to make several adjustments to follow the k/website localization rule.
