• [x] Agree to ensure the final program schedule is diverse (e.g., not all speakers of one gender, one culture, or from 1 or 2 of the same company). Here are some tips on how to create a diverse lineup.

• Feynman works for Microsoft Beijing, and was an Ambassador, and worked on KCD China
• Sheng Wu works in US and Beijing, working on Observability, Open Tracing (was a maintainer), Service Mesh, involved Istio and Envoy. Works on ApacheCon Asia. Is a public speaker
• Iceber is a Docker engineer

• CFP Platform is from WeChat (Tencent) - Donald and Keith will amplify/promote on CNCF side
• Sponsor Prospectus is being prepared (Intel is already interested)
• Venue is confirmed for Microsoft

TO-DO:

• Organizers need to adjust logo to say "KCD Beijing"
• Organizers to update Bevy event in draft mode, with description, and link to CFP

In addition, we have completed the collection of topics

MAY 23 MEETING NOTES

• Event date changed to June 17 (venue arrangement) -- Microsoft venue
• Program -- Possibly 2 tracks
• 3 sponsors including Microsoft, Intel, Jibu Tech are confirmed
• 21 proposals gathered from the CFP. We had a poll with CNCF local groups (CNCF Ambassador China team and LFAPAC Cloud-Native SIG) -- Donald helped promote CFP on social channels -- Reviewed all proposals. More than 70% of submissions are good quality. -- 16 sessions (40 minutes) + 5 lightning talks (10 minutes) -- NEXT STEP: selection process
• Registration platform (Huodongxing) similar to meetup.com -- will kick-off registration at the end of this week
