Fix l18n check #681

The i18n task fails for no obvious reason. For example: https://github.com/cncf/tag-app-delivery/actions/runs/9453405513/job/26038730488?pr=680

It seems the forked repo must be up to date with the upstream repo every time the job runs.

I'll look into the GitHub Action in more detail later, but could you try merging the upstream updates into the branch?
