👍👍 Thank you!!
Thank you, Eve!🙌
Hello everyone,
I've started working on translating the website into German. Will keep you updated on my progress.
Thank you!
We should probably split up work so we don't do duplicate work and track progress. What files are you working on already?
Hey @thelooter,
So far, I've set up the project on my local machine and started working on the main _index.md file. Let's divide the tasks to improve efficiency and keep track of our progress effectively. I can hold my work for now and then begin with the files assigned to me.
Thanks!
These are the files I identified. Please give feedback if I got all of them or if some maybe are not intended for translation
Hey @thelooter ,
It seems like we need to create a dedicated folder for the German language, labeled 'de', within the content directory, just as we've done for Spanish and other languages. What are your thoughts on this approach?

That seems like the way to go, most of the files will be fairly straightforward, except one in landscape/, which is written in Korean. @leonardpahlke maybe you can provide some insight into that as you seem to be mentioned in the document

I'll create a Merge request with the search.md in it

Alright, understood. In the meantime, I'll focus on completing the _index.md file. Once we have a clear structure in place, we can work more efficiently.
Thanks.
Added initial Structure in #368

We can skip the landscape document for now. The landscape document is in the process of getting rewritten - so lets translate it after that is done.
https://github.com/cncf/tag-env-sustainability/issues/366#issuecomment-2037837778 — This is awesome structuring!! 😄
Should I put it in the issue description too?
That would be great!
Are there already plans for translating the website into more languages in the future? Couldn't find any discussions about it, but maybe I'm just blind 😅 I could help out with Portuguese and maybe Italian if it's in the far-enough future.

I think there's nothing stopping you from starting a translation. Maybe just ask in slack and they can give you some more guidance
Are we supposed to translate TAG Environmental Sustainability into the localized equivalent too? Or should we keep it as an identifying Name?
The name of the group remains the same across translated content. 👍
Hey! Could we get an update on this in a WG comms meeting? Thank you!
