I would like to initiate a Japanese translation/localization project. Please advise if there is a better approach. CC: @Okabe-Junya @kaitoii11

+1

Maybe it's implied but we need to update the Hugo config as well.

Great! I’m also happy to be part of this project. There are two things I’d like to check.

First, What will be included in the Initialize PR for Japanese l10n? It’s good to start small, but having too many PRs can increase the maintainers’ tasks. The examples from the ko or zh l10n teams would be helpful.

FYI:

Could you create Initialize PR @naonishijima ?

Secondly, Kaito-san and I can’t edit comments on this issue, so Nao-san will need to update the "status". Is that okay? (Other possible solutions could be creating a spreadsheet or applying for "write" permissions for this repo).

@kaitoii11 @Okabe-Junya Thank you for comment! I created Initialize PR #439. Indeed. It would be better if anyone could update the status. I want to use GitHub's features for easier management. How about discussions or projects? Are there any other recommended features?

It would be great if we could use either discussions or projects but it seems like we don't have enough privileges. We can't edit other user's comments so we will still have the same problem as using this issue.

Agree!! (IMHO, I prefer projects to discussions)

First of all, I think we should talk to maintainers

naonishijima commented 2 months ago

Thank you for all. I agree to discuss that with maintainers. For the time being, I will manage the to-do list.

Okabe-Junya commented 2 months ago

I'll work on some pages :) Thank you!!
