Couple of comments:

Another possible goal could be to look at the traditional HPC/Batch solutions like SLURM, HTCondor, etc and see if and how they could be brought into the cloud native world. Eventually documenting what prevents it from happening if that's the case.

Couple of comments:

  • Would be nice to refer to the Kubernetes Batch WG in the charter and how these two groups complement each other: Add WG Batch with charter kubernetes/community#6299
  • Mention how we expect to bridge between these two groups - probably requiring attendance of both by at least a few people

For this working group, it should focus on a common API for different implementations cross CNCF; it definely works with k8s community :)

That's good idea to work with some traditional batch system, e.g. Slurm. I'm going to talk with them :)
