Previously this week, Caroline and I met to talk more about the XSLT and CSS about our project, but we ended up talking about some issues with our reading view and how we want to display our poems. A lot of it is going to be based in Javascript which we will need to discuss further with Dr. Birnbaum, and some of it sounded like it could be complicated. However, Charlie said that we can adjust our XSLT relatively easy and sort our poems for the reading view in a good way. Despite us having done more talking than actual coding, we still made some progress before our meeting. I made a table which sorts all the poems with some new Xpath functions that Dr. Birnbaum helped me through, and Caroline made a sample reading view that we will adjust to fit our website soon. Furthermore, Wyatt fixed the poem_themes elements on our project so they will be easier to sort later on, and Charlie told us more about batch transformations and using server side includes which we will probably utilize once we start the official reading view. Since we will start SVG soon, we also discussed our visualizations more and thinking about how we will do our methods page for this next week.
