First: Use an extra IO pin to soldered header.

Use TXCO on main board. C427551 << Probably the winrar. Or maybe C135223 (Can't tell which is actually better)

Software-wise, try to use expected addition for de-noising the signal. I.e. if tube is on apply constant offset.
