Not true. I could reproduce that with older commits (I tested 664ee6cabdaf07077d282d55d09b8129ac3f36ed which was before any commit of my show-all branch was committed), too. Before 2aaa4991038fe40530064557a302112578527901 it would update as soon as one pulled down the PullDownMenu.

ok, sorry ... i tried the harmattan version... In sailfish the update always was broken, but i never noticed as i almost never switch to "show all"
