Compatibility question: Blue Pill #14

hi there!

congrats for you excellent work. I need to ask if I can use a few fake blue pill boards I have laying around which do not pass the greaseweazle blinky test but otherwise can be flashed to an "arduino-combatible" board. excuse my noob-ness.

Hi George. I recently had problems with newer Arduino Nano V3 bought from aliexpress. They don't work anymore with this firmware (0.6). Did not try with 0.5. However, they work for my other Arduino projects just fine. Interesting point, need to check this greaseweazle blinky test :-)

the blue pills that fail the blinky test - you must load that using a UART-TTL are supposingly missing some functions. but if that is not a problem for this project it'd be nice not to throw them in the recycle bin. hopefully user efforts could verify this!... the question of course remains regardless of the blue bill being good or not, can it be used even if original?
