Hi,

Thanks for building this theme for Hugo. I'm looking to build a new website using Hugo and would like to a GDS style theme, this theme. My site is a personal project, not at all related to the UK gov't. Is it ok to use this theme for such use?

The footer includes the statement "All content is available under the Open Government Licence v3.0, except where otherwise stated". As this is a personal site and using my own content, is there a way to "switch off"/remove this statement? Also, I guess I should remove the Crown Copyright logo, is there a config switch for that?

Is there a statement I should add regarding the copyright / ownership of the theme?

Thanks.

@upyesp Sorry for not having got back to you sooner, I don't think I got a notification you had raised this. I don't know if you've already solved this problem/still considering using this Hugo theme, but some advice below.

The best approach would be to write your own custom partial footer.html file to override the theme. Copy the existing footer.html file in the theme into a layouts/partials folder and then remove the HTML fragments you don't want. See the relevant documentation on the Hugo website for further details: https://gohugo.io/templates/partials/

Hi Matt, thanks for the info. I'll go with that way forward.
