As a funder I want to know which repositories comply with the technical requirements (metadata standards, PIDs, licenses, etc.) I've established, so I can recommend/certify them as compliant #10

This can also be a requirement of repository networks and aggregators (to be able to filter/costumize).

Does this issue address a kind of an integrated validator service?

We have categorised this as "out of scope" because we believe that it is unlikely that a single registry can be configured to capture all of the metadata and other information from repositories that could satisfy all of the funders' various requirements.

The IRD's role would be to provide enough basic information about repositories (e.g. API connection details such as OAI-PMH BaseURLs, such that one or more "validation services" could be developed to satisfy particular funders' requirements.
