Unable to Maintain Stable Yaw. #183

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
ACM 2.0.22

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1.Flight of Arducopter
2.Left Yaw Results in Copter Wanting to Yaw Left.
3.Right Yaw Results in Copter Wating to Yaw Right.

Centered sticks never occurs. Unable to find balanced yaw..which results in
correction to left then almost right away having to correct to right... never
able to get centered always following yaw

run radio test in the CLI and make sure CH4 is 0 when you release the sticks.

Hey Jason!

Yep checked channel 4 its spot on 0 when sticks are centred.
I wouldn't worry to much as while testing today an ESC or Motor failed while
flying and the craft ate dirt big time.
Trying to now figure out if it was motor or ESC that caused stop as both seem
fine now... not having a good day today... Doh!

The issue today really seems that its never possible to find centre... you yaw
left and then correct to right to have craft centred then it wanders to the
right... you then correct to the left and then it starts to wander to the left.
Im not 100% sure why its doing this... im running about 35% EXP on
ALE/RUDD/ELEV with D/R @ 100% No Subtrims have been set and all travel adjusts
are at 100% UD... off to rebuild for the moment let me know if you come up with
any ideas...

Nick

Couldn't it be a compass problem ? Seems like the compass output is influenced
by power circuits.

Did you try with compass disable ?

Just rebuilt craft... seems like i've been doing this a lot lately... can't
seem to fault engine or esc at this stage.. been on bench running both at 90%
and not a single glitch.... during the rebuild centered APM & IMU more. Added
additional foam core... test flight again shows yaw not behaving correctly....
same fault as before you correct for left yaw however craft then keeps yawing
right without any input... correct until centered and center stick again and
then starts yawing left...... is this normal?
