To be honest: I'm not a huge fan. See e.g. bone weights using a completely different syntax from everything else, and all the classic issues that OBJ has always had (such as different indices for position, normal, tex coord; normal being optional; separate mtllib; …) But if this gains adoption then it would make sense to support it.
…and apparently the link is dead because the DA user deactivated their account. I don’t think this makes this impossible, but it does make it a lot harder.
