Request: LED style link status for network interfaces

The "Interfaces" section of the "Networking" page has no easy way to identify the link status of an interface. Especially if the interfaces have no IP configuration (but used by KVM) they are shown as "Inactive" even with an active link.

It would be cool to have an LED style indicator that indicates the physical link status. It could show

• green = link up
• red = link down
• grey = interface disabled
• yellow = up, but degraded (half duplex, STP blocked ...)

Here is my ugly mockup, sorry about it, but you might get the idea.
