Rachel Casali commented: '-should we provide some pre-canned multi-region options? -what do we do in scenarios where our preferred machines aren't available in all AZs in AWS? Company my-sale requested a 3 node cluster in Sydney for an iops heavy workload, and we weren't sure whether to use an older generation machine, a different region or just use 2 AZs (which won't survive an AZ outage). -question from Nate - "do customers care what regions the cluster is on, or do they simply care about perf and resiliency?" we need to test for this assumption.

• note that confluent asks for type of workload before they ask about region/ cloud and also force a customer to choose a cloud -confluent only supports a few regions in GCP - not all. -region then cloud provider v cloud provider then region are two flows to test when doing user research.
