As described in the linked issue, there is a problem that can lead to OOMs.

Since (AFAICT from the linked issue) the proposed fix relates to the DistSender, we may need to update our architecture docs wherever DistSender is mentioned.

However, we may not.

No longer in v21.1 - this is now on the radar for 21.2 in the KV Backlog
