Tim noticed that the script overwrites the pairings on the Pairings page once results have been submitted for a round/game. That's usually fine, but he noticed that when a player submitted an incorrect result (chose the wrong opponent from the dropdown submission list), the script then assumed that pairing had actually occurred and there was no record of what the actual pairing was.
If the script overwrites the Pairings page with the results, then Tim asked if there could be a record somewhere of what the pairings were. He had already deleted the Website Pairings tab. Maybe the short answer is to have directors not delete pairings on that tab? They try to only post the next round of pairings there because players otherwise get confused by old pairings and play the wrong person. I welcome your thoughts here.
