Hi, dev. I am not sure if you will support other "hiden" algos for Baikal N?

have tried to compile under new X10 release. Compiled ok but will no longer find the miners. Worked on previous version. Any suggestions?

hidden algos for Giant N? Havent heard about any for that. It seems that baikal have changes something in the latest release, i think it will require a couple changes on algorithm.c file, to ensure the mining chips knows which algo they should process - dont have time to look into that now.

But very cool work anyway. I'm also searching for a way to "update" the BK-N ... but to be honest: Everybody who would contribute this, would shrink his own profit by doing so ... that's the reason for V7 :(

I bought 4 of them for 2k € ... each ... so I desperately search for a solution ... and would pay a lot to get it ;-)

I asked one person. He told me that these codes already supported Monero v7. I wonder if you want to solve your shit devices, why does no one try to flash ? I guess you can backup old firmware in case this firmware doesn’t work. All are half or non serious and looking for ready cooked meals.

This is not firmware, its software. The firmware is on the STM chip on "motherboard" below Orange Pi, this is the first step of all limitations, second is the hashing chips them selfs. Only Giant B have a more advanced firmware, which allows to overclock, and as far as i know - there are no firmware out there for Monero v7, if it was difficulty would be much greater.

@manfire sure you can find the firmware files, ive already done that. However you cannot find their firmware source code, therefor its useless. The firmware is still on the STM chip - when you run upgrade file you copy this to the STM chip. None of the current firmwares supports V7.

hi im new in programming, i dont understand anything how to change or reprogram baikal-N. only thinks i can do is remove cd card from orange and rewrite new program on it. i search to many websites but steel dont know if any solution to do beater work for giant-N. if anyone done somethings beater please let us know or meantime just sale it to anyone who interested.

All you can access is the Unix system on the sd card (by doing a sh root@[ip address] and the pw baikal) its an all normal linux:

Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Release: 16.04 Codename: xenial

It even includes the midnight commander ... so if its not working anymore, at least you have a linux server lol ... a very expensive one though ...

@cod3gen's code can be compiled (just follow the description ... ) - unfortunately the other forks can't :(. The sgminer works and has a higher frequency, but produces more rejected hashes. And some hw error callbacks ...

I´m still hoping. It can't be so difficult for vitamin to upgrade the system. But after THEY sold the miner for 380$ each (after I payed nearly 2k 2 weeks before), I think they won't. Or maybe they cannot ... skills vs quick money

Anyways: If I find a solution, I´ll post it here. Hope you too ;-)

@Tintenklecks Sorry for your lost. I’m not bullying anyone (what for !?!). 30th May, ETN will fork and 1.6 Gh/s from old ETN algorithm will crush profitability on few alcoins that haven’t not forked. Be realistic ! Keep trying but don’t expect too much !

hi , where did you try it ? and i see videos in youtube baikal ntype mining monero with algocn-v7/cn-R and more . what fileand which file did you develope ? let we work togather and sure wegonna find a solution i am working in this firmware about 3 weeks and looking to add sgminer other verion then original to this firmware but still not . we want codes and firmware hacking ,or which is file name for algorithms located to add codesand signs .
